Spencer Morgan

Spencer was born and raised in eastern North Carolina. His fascination with flight began early in grade school. Immediately after graduating high school he began flying. Spencer has been flying for over 20 years! While attending college he was teaching aviation at the local community college. He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Spencer has 2 adult sons who are also pilots.
Spencer is a National Aviation Record holder and has experience in over 100 makes/models of airplanes, helicopters and gliders to include: Flight Instruction, Aircraft Delivery, Corporate Flying, External Load, Sightseeing/Tours, Photo/Video, Fire Suppression, Banner Towing, Nascar Team Flying, Government Contracting (Central America and Afghanistan), Law Enforcement Contract Flying (DOJ), Wildlife Animal Capture, Surveys, Warbirds/Military Aircraft, Prisoner Transport, Medical Evacuation, Certified Aircraft Appraiser, Aviation Consultant, Aviation Expert Witness. Spencer holds an FAA Airline Transport Pilots License in Airplanes and Helicopters with 19 type ratings, Commercial Pilot License in Gliders and Single and Multi Engine Seaplanes, FAA Gold Seal Flight Instructor in Airplanes and Helicopters, Basic, Advanced, and Instrument Ground Instructor, as well as an Airframe and Power Plant Mechanics License. He is also a Commerical Drone Operator and was appointed to the FAA Safety Team in 2009 and became a Robinson Insurance Auditor in 2010. |

Spence was born in eastern North Carolina and grew up in Chattanooga, TN. He has always been around aviation since he was a child and first started flying with his dad at an early age (his first logged flight was at 10 months old).
He lived in Laredo in 2010 where he began his private pilot training and soloed in Zapata. In 2011, he earned his private pilot certificate at 17. At the age of 18 he earned his instrument rating, single and multi-engine commercial pilot certificate. At 19 and 20 he had SIC type ratings in a Hawker 900XP, Beechcraft PremierJet and a Citation XLS+. In April of 2015 he completed his initial flight instructor instrument rating at American Flyers and in December of 2018 completed his airplane instructor add-on. He recently completed FlightSafety for a type rating in a Citation Sovereign+. He hopes to bring excitement and passion of flying to all his students who share an interest in aviation.
